Prison labour and the 13th Amendment

The 13th Amendment allows the United States to sentence people to ‘involuntary servitude’ for the ‘commission of a crime,’ effectively licensing states to enslave their citizens. Aside from being unjust, this is contributing to growing incarceration rates.
