What they do with their prisoners often goes on behind closed doors, and no one really cares anyway, because it’s prisoners, so obviously they don’t matter. But it should matter. It should matter a lot that American citizens on American soil are being treated like garbage, because no matter what their crimes are, prisoners are entitled to humane treatment.
